Still known as "The Mountain of Witches", the mountain is associated with the times of myth and magic — there are 213 engravings from prehistoric times dotted around the hillsides. On clear days, hikers may catch a glimpse of Tenerife and Gran Canaria from the summit of the mountain. The hike is suitable for all experience levels. NOTE: This mountain is a protected area for several species of birds, and hikers must seek a permit from ‘Consejería de Medio Ambiente’ before setting foot on the mountain.
