The Jardin du Luxembourg is one of Paris’s most beloved green spaces, situated in the 6th arrondissement and home to the French Senate. Commissioned by Marie de’ Medici in the 17th century, it’s a mix of manicured lawns, flowerbeds, fountains, and shady promenades. Locals come here to run, read, sail toy boats on the pond, or just sit and watch the world go by — from students and chess players to kids on the playground and politicians on their lunch break. The Luxembourg Palace sits at its centre, and the Medici Fountain remains one of its most photographed spots.

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents a demanding and variegated exhibition program at three locations: at the K20 Grabbeplatz, at the K21 Ständehaus and at the Schmela Haus. Around a half-century ago, in August of 1961, the regional government of North Rhine-Westphalia established the Foundation of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. The purchase of 88 works by artist Paul Klee was the “opening salvo.” Since then, the Kunstsammlung has become one of the most recognised art museums worldwide, with a collection which ranges from Classical Modernism to American Pop Art and major contemporary works.

Agadir Medina is a fascinating reconstruction of a typical Moroccan Berber village. It was built using traditional building techniques and local materials. Today, visitors can stroll the alleys and shop in the many small boutiques, all while taking in the colours, aromas and bustle of the market.
