Lush, untamed vegetation defines Dominica, and there's no better way to experience it than on the Waitukubuli National Trail. This trail, the first long-distance walking route in the Caribbean, stretches 184 km from the island's southern tip to its northern edge. Mojácar is home to two statues in honour ir “mojaqueras”. The statue of “La Mojaquera” (Mojácar woman) has stood in front of the Church since 1989. Sculpted in marble and dressed in the typical attire, she holds the Arab scarf with her teeth and carries the water vessel that was used to carry the precious liquid from the fountain. Located in the Plaza Rey Alabez, next to the parking area, it is a bronze sculpture, symbolizing the woman changing their shoes when entering and leaving the village. You can read a “güajira mojaquera” (a popular folk song).

In 1936 and 1937, the German army built a dam five kilometres long between Tinnum and Rantum right across the Wattenmeer tidal flats intending to build a marine airport. In 1962, the area was declared a conservation area and rapidly developed into a popular breeding ground for many species of birds. Guided tours explain the local flora and fauna of the Rantum basin to holidaymakers.

Ranch Pia integrates various facilities. There is pasture for horses, stable with fourteen compartments and outdoor roofed compartment next to the stable. For riding, the premises for equipment, the area for saddling and grooming in front of the stable and smaller roofed areas.
