Designed for the beginner or average fisherman who doesn’t have the time to dedicate to a professional circuit, the Weekend Warrior Bass Series is the perfect pick-up fishing experience. As the Series is not professional, anglers who are visiting Lake Havasu City will enjoy a weekend or two of fishing. This multi-award winning beach, often considered the best in Maui, has a plethora of activities, from snorkeling and boogie boarding to a zip-line tour. It also neighbors a golf course, and is the starting point of the Kapalua Coastal Trail.

The Treasury exhibits valuable examples of sacred art: the large Romanesque painted crucifix from the 12th century, the painting of the Dead Christ — the work of Jacopo da Ponte Bassano, the large Renaissance crucifix from the 15th century, ancient liturgical vessels, precious illuminated codices and chorals, documents, incunabula, etc. The painted Ugljan polyptych from the 15th century is without any doubt the finest and the most representative example of the entire Gothic painting in Croatia.

The National Archaeological Museum, in Exarchia, is home to Ancient Greece’s most spectacular pieces. One room contains Schliemann’s finds from Mycenae, another has the famous frescoes from Santorini on display. There is also a fine collection of idols from the Cyclades and ceramics from all parts of the Mediterranean. The star of the museum is the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient hand-powered orrery, described as the oldest example of an analogue computer used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses decades in advance. This scientific marvel is dated somewhere between 205 and 60 BCE.
