Strijp S, a former Philips factory area called "The Forbidden City" is now a vibrant open creative design & technology hub full of design-, retail-, hospitality-, food- and leisure venues. Great locations to visit are Skatepark Area51, Urban Shopper, Food Market 't Veem, Yksi Design Expo, De Ontdekfrabriek ("The Discover Factory" for kids), 040BMX Park, MU Artspace, NatLab, Popei Music, Enversed VR Center and many more.

Designed by Salvi and completed by Pannini in 1762, the striking Fontana di Trevi amazes onlookers with its 26.3-metre (86 ft) height and 49.15-metre (161.3 ft) width, making it the largest Baroque fountain in the city and the most famous one in the world. Several movies, including "Roman Holiday" and Fellini's "La Dolce Vita", have certainly contributed to its fame. In 2016, Fendi chose the fountain as the stage of one of its most memorable shows ever, wherein a clear plexiglass runway stretched across the Trevi Fountain.

On the façade of this government palace (Palazzo del Governo), you can see a collection of statues by Guido Costanzo, from Ortona. The four large sculptures symbolise the Mines, Agriculture, the Sea and the River, the four foundation pillars of Pescara. In the Hall of the Provincial Council, you can also admire the large bronze bust of poet Gabriele D'Annunzio.

After exploring Al-Mutanabbi Street and the nearby bazaar, make your way to the Tigris River, just a short walk away, and hop on a boat for a ride along one of the most historic rivers in the world.
