In the 1st district, marvel at a breathtaking light installation by the artist Olafur Eliasson on the façade of the Verbund headquarters. The artwork can be seen on permanent display in Vienna every day at dusk, when 32 fluorescent lamps cast light on the artificial fog climbing up the side of the building and spreading over the pavement. You can visit the exhibition in the Vertical Gallery by appointment (call ahead) every Wednesday at 6:30pm as part of a free art talk.

Mineral deposits found in the Nha Trang area are believed to have natural curative properties, which can be experienced first-hand at the city's several reputable 'mud spa' centres. Services range from the possibility of, quite literally, bathing in mud, to experiencing a full-on treatment in combination with a massage or other beauty procedures. Spa packages are offered at most centres and are incredibly great value. Some of the best-known spa centres include Thap Ba Hot Springs (with private baths available, as well as waterfalls and thermal pools with both warm and cold water); iResort (another large complex, plus water slides), 100 Egg Mud Bath, and – if you're too short on time to make the trip outside of town to one of the larger complexes – Galina Mud Bath right downtown.

Located about 35 kilometres east of Dakar, this small part of the botanical reserve of Noflaye is home to 11 species of tortoises. It is a research institute, as well as a facility that protects these endangered species and releases young tortoises into the wild.

Housed in the country’s oldest school, the museum divides its artefacts into four sections, each offering insight into life before, during, and after the Spanish conquests. You can find the museum just to the right of the main entrance to the University.
