This small and elegant mosque is one of Tirana's oldest surviving structures. Closed during communist rule, it reopened for worship in 1991 after being shuttered for decades. Many religious sites were destroyed during the atheism campaigns of the 1960s, but this mosque was spared. Its distinctive frescoes, found both inside and outside the portico, depict nature scenes like trees, waterfalls and bridges, which are unusual motifs in Islamic art.

There are 57 nature reserves within Halmstad Municipality, with different types of flora and fauna. Several hiking trails wind through Haverdal's coastal forest reserve. If you listen closely, you might almost hear the gnarled pines lamenting the drifting sands and harsh sea winds. Further north, the nickname of Skipås Nature Reserve, “God’s Green Meadows”, speaks for itself. Venture deeper inland into the heart of the countryside, where meadows and lush mushroom-filled forests offer a bounty of outdoor activities. In Simlångsdalen, tranquil lake waters beckon for leisurely canoeing excursions.

El Ghriba Synagogue, located in the village of Hara Seghira, stands as the oldest synagogue in Tunisia and, possibly, all of Africa. Situated southwest of Houmt El Souk, the main town of Djerba, this historic site serves as the focal point of Jews in North Africa. The synagogue is renowned for its ornate interiors adorned with intricate blue tile work and elegant arches.
