Haiwan Park is a perfect spot for an evening stroll by the beach, especially as the sun dips below the horizon. The park’s LED-lit pathways create a unique atmosphere after dark, and the open amusement park installations add a playful charm. As the night unfolds, the surrounding restaurants and bars come alive, drawing in locals and travellers alike with their lively ambience and variety of food and drink options.

Cho Lon, also well-known as Chinatown, is an area of Ho Chi Minh where many Chinese immigrants reside and earn their living. Within Cho Lon, the biggest and most crowded trade hub is Tan Binh Market, where you can find a wide range of clothing and knick-knacks at very low prices (although be warned the assortment is mostly made up of obscure dried edibles and Chinese ritual paraphernalia). An interesting time to visit Cho Lon is when locals celebrate the Chinese New Year Festival. During Tet, all shops and eateries are lavishly decorated with multi-coloured lanterns, and streets seem to become deluged with the lucky colour red.

For a nice walk or picnic a bit outside the busy streets and squares of central Athens, you can head to the Philopappos Hill. It offers a great view over the city and maybe the best view of the Acropolis, just far enough to embrace it all while avoiding the tourists crowd and close enough to see the beauty of its architecture.

Mole Tower is a unique lookout point from where you can enjoy the beautiful Lake Constance, the Alps and Friedrichshafen right from the city harbour. Climb up the stairs of the 22-metre high steel tower and let the beautiful view surprise you.
