A world heritage listed marine park, the Great Barrier Reef extends for 2,300 km along the North Eastern coast of Australia. It’s the world’s largest coral reef system, comprising a network of about 2,900 individual reefs and home to nearly 2,000 species of fish. In the northwest corner of Titov Square stands a Baroque chapel with a relief of Madonna with the Child on its front. This passable chapel resembles a small triumphal arch and marks the beginning of the Petar Kružić Stairway that leads to the famous pilgrimage centre, the Franciscan monastery at Trsat. The steps were built in 1531 by order of Warlord Petar Kružić, and were built up over the centuries, up to today's over 500 steps, and adorned with votive chapels.

There is much to discover in Historic Garmisch. Walk along Frühlingsstraße and the nearby alleys and listen to the histories told by the famous "Lüftl" paintings on the houses' facades, in which you will understand them even if you do not know any Bavarian. A nice detour leads you to the “Alte Kirche” (Old Church), which is a nice Romanesque-Gothic church dating back to the 13th century.

The famous Whitehaven Beach with its white silica sand rests just a mere 20-minute boat ride from Hamilton Island. This place is so stunning the BBC voted it the number one beach to include in your bucket list.
