In 1958, a chance flight over the Lake Havasu area by entrepreneur Robert McCulloch later led to the founding of Lake Havasu City. A decade after the city’s establishment, McCulloch and town planner C.V. Wood had the great idea to purchase the London Bridge from England and reconstruct it as a tourist attraction. The London Bridge is now the second most frequented attraction in all of Arizona, second only to the Grand Canyon.

With refreshing water and multiple swimming holes, the Staircase Waterfall is a must see for Payson visitors. The Arizonan heat is easily escapable in the depths of the waterfall, which also serves as a massage of sorts.

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MaMa) opened its doors in 2007 and aims to preserve the region's cultural heritage, art and history. It supports locals artists by giving them a platform and invites visitors to take a closer look on contemporary works of art. Not only the exhibitions, but also the building, transformed from a department store to the museum it is today, make this place worth a visit.

An Art Deco masterpiece in Detroit’s financial district, the Guardian Building is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. Completed in 1929, this skyscraper is celebrated for its vibrant interior featuring intricate tilework, bold geometric patterns, and a stunning vaulted ceiling. Nicknamed the “Cathedral of Finance,” it’s a testament to Detroit’s golden age. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989, the Guardian Building has adorned the city’s skyline for nearly a century. While visitors can’t climb to the top, the lobby and mezzanine offer incredible views of the craftsmanship.
