The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is a three day annual event that aims to showcase art in its many forms, including performances and other entertainment. A large portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting local non-profits.

Skadarlija, an old bohemian quarter of Belgrade, is alive 24/7. The neighbourhood arose during the 19th century, with a large number of inns (called "kafana"), and since then has been a gathering spot of the most renowned personalities in Belgrade. Best known kafanas are Šešir moj (This old hat of mine), Tri šešira (Three Hats), Dva jelena (Two Deer), Zlatni bokal (The Golden Chalice), Ima dana (There will be days) and Dva bela goluba (Two White Doves). The present Skadarlija, a short and curved street, is a remarkable Belgrade tourist attraction. Since 1993, the official opening of the summer season in Skadarlija has been marked by rising a "bohemian flag". The ceremony is always attended by celebrities, including popular and opera singers, actors, and artists.

Witnessing the age-old craft of leather treatment at the Bab Debbagh tanneries is a fascinating experience. Situated near a river for water supply, these tanneries have been operating for centuries. The distinctive odour, resulting from ammonia used in the leather-softening process, will let you know you've arrived. Unlike some other Moroccan tanneries, the focus here is on treating leather in its natural state; the dyeing happens elsewhere. Visiting the site can be a bit tricky due to the presence of unofficial 'guides' demanding payment. If you prefer a hassle-free experience, consider hiring a certified guide as part of a medina tour. Otherwise, prepare to navigate past these unofficial attendants by offering a small tip and insisting on entering without their assistance.
