As one of Qingdao's most iconic landmarks, Zhaoqiao Pier was originally built as a wharf in 1891. It was expanded and repaired in 1931 and 1985, and today, it stands as a popular attraction for tourists. Stretching 440 metres long and 10 metres wide, the pier is supported by massive granite columns, with a standout feature being the two-storey Huilan Pagoda, a distinctive Chinese-style structure symbolising 'The Return of Waves'. Alongside the pier is Pier Park, a peaceful spot where visitors can unwind and enjoy views of the ocean and surrounding area.

Just next to Lu Xun Park, you'll find Qingdao Underwater World, also known as the Marine Products Museum. Covering 7,300 square metres, this aquatic wonderland houses an impressive 4,000 tonnes of water and showcases a diverse range of marine life. It's the kind of place where you can explore everything from colourful fish to fascinating sea creatures, all under one roof.

Housed in Stuttgart's Old Castle, the Landesmuseum Württemberg is the state's largest cultural history museum, with its origins tracing back to the 16th-century Kunstkammer of the Württemberg dukes. Officially founded in 1862 by King Wilhelm I, the museum's collections span over a million objects, covering archaeology, art, and cultural history from the Stone Age to the present day. Highlights include prehistoric artefacts, Roman relics, medieval art, the crown jewels of Württemberg, and one of the world's oldest preserved card games. The museum also features the 'Junges Schloss', a children's museum designed to make history accessible to younger visitors.

Staronová Synagoga is one of the oldest synagogues in Europe. This is where Rabbi Löw, who created a Golem — the mythical clay figure which was to protect Prague’s Jewish population from persecution — preached. It has been an important centre for Czech Jews for centuries.
