A half-day walking tour puts the spotlight on Parma's famous cuisine with stops at the locals’ favourite eateries and shops. Explore the city's main attractions and make stops for small bites and interesting stories from food vendors. Start with a visit to a traditional Prosciutteria and try Culatello di Zibello, Salame Felino, Coppa, Culaccia and Spalla Cruda. St Nicholas’ Church, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana, was completed in its current form in 1701 on the foundations of an older church. The church built by the Jesuit architect Andrea Pozzo is adorned with frescoes by Giulio Quaglio and is considered one of the jewels of Baroque art. Also famous is its entrance door made in the 20th century. The carvings on the main door depict the history, while the postern doors are decorated with portraits of Slovene bishops and Jesus.

For a relaxing day trip, take the train to the former fishing village of Cascais. Here you can stroll on the beautiful decorated streets, experience the lively fish auction held every afternoon next to the main beach, visit "Museu do Mar" to see the rich history of Cascais or take a refreshing walk along the coastal road to Boca do Inferno ("Mouth of Hell") where high waves crash into gigantic caves.

Saint-André is Bordeaux’s main cathedral — parts of it date back to the 11th century, though most of what you see now is from the 13th to 15th centuries. It’s a classic Gothic structure and has seen a fair bit of history, including the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine. Just next to it is the Tour Pey Berland, a separate bell tower you can climb for panoramic views over the city and the cathedral roof.
