As featured on Huell Howser’s Road Trip to Stockton in 2007, the Stockton Cambodian Buddhist Temple is home to over 100 vibrant, jewel-encrusted statues that celebrate the life and story of the Cambodian Buddha, including a striking 50-foot-long recumbent Buddha. Visitors are welcome daily during daylight hours, and admission is free, with donations accepted. The temple is also the site of the annual Cambodian New Year Celebration each April.

Immerse yourself in an authentic naval experience at the USS Midway Museum, a real naval aircraft carrier once known as a "city at sea." With over 60 exhibits and more than 30 expertly restored aircraft, visitors can explore this 69,000-ton ship and discover its storied history. The Midway offers interactive activities, including flight simulators, ejection seat experiences, guided tours of the bridge, and access to authentic cockpits.

A giant sparkling-white Buddha sits atop a hill at the foot of Trai Thuy Mountain, marking the location of a beautiful pagoda, one of Nha Trang's most notable sites. Walk through the mosaic-adorned halls and take the 152 steps that lead up to the pagoda; a spectacular view unfolds over Nha Trang in its entirety from up here. Footwear should be removed prior to entering the temples, and modest clothing covering the shoulders should be worn. Please note that the area is notorious for minor scam artists offering unsolicited services to tourists, which can be an annoyance.

The River Boyne may look peaceful today, but things were rather different on 1 July 1690. On that day, two rivals to the British throne — William III and James II — clashed with their armies in the largest gathering of troops ever on Irish soil. This bloody conflict is vividly evoked at the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre, where audio-visual displays, original weaponry and free battlefield walkways are on display. In summer, watch costumed actors come to life in historical re-enactments.
