At Hungerburg you can board the Nordkettenbahn cable car to continue up to Seegrube (1,905m) and Hafelekar (2,330m), Innsbruck’s popular recreational Nordkette area. The museum's collection was primarily sourced from the private collection of the Salar Jung family, particularly Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, also known as Salar Jung III. One of the museum's most famous attractions is the musical clock, known for its hourly performance, during which a bearded figure comes out and strikes the gong. This mechanical spectacle draws a crowd, especially around the time it is set to go off.
