Stretching across 10 acres on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, Centennial Park is a good location for a walk or a picnic in town, offering a playground and a fishing pier. Here you will also find the Uncommon Friends, a sculpture commemorating the town's most famous visitors.

The Wall Museum is located in the basement of the "Casa del Paso" building, on the Salesas Campus of the Miguel Hernández University. It also houses an interesting and well organised archaeological site, set up after various stages of excavation between 1998 and 2000. Significant architectural heritage sites are well conserved: The town wall, four watchtowers dating back to the Almohad era (Designated Cultural sites since 14/12/1998), Arab baths, Islamic and early medieval streets and homes, a Gothic palace and architectural remains of the Casa del Paso (17th Century). Furthermore, remains dating back from the second half of the 12th Century to the 20th Century have been recovered. During the visit, around the perimeter path and glazed walkways, there is also a variety of complementary resources to help interpret the findings, such as display panels, scale models, signposts, display cases and a video.

The Palatine Gates date back to ancient Roman times, when they provided access for travellers coming from the north. Today, the gates are part of the archaeological park located in the city centre, together with other ancient ruins, such as the remains of a Roman theatre.

Pottinger Street, named after Hong Kong’s first Governor in 1854, is affectionately known as 'Stone Slabs Street' due to its distinctive granite stone steps. This is one of the district's most iconic and photogenic streets, offering a glimpse into the area's rich history. A short 10-minute walk from here leads to Hollywood Road, where you can explore significant colonial-era architecture at the Central Police Station and Victoria Prison.
