The city's unique geographic features make for a unique and picturesque skyline at night. When night comes, the lights from tens of thousands of households take over the whole city. There are three prime spots to get immersed in the night landscape of the city: the One-tree Outlook Platform, the Golden Eagle Statue in South Mountain Park and the Kansheng Tower in Erling Park. This fish market is a sight in itself, where fishermen sell their catch of the day and experts fillet large tuna in the back. But what is really special about this place is that you can purchase what you want from the market stalls and take them to any of the surrounding eateries to be prepared however you like, ensuring one of the freshest meals you've ever had.

Chaotian Gate is a great place to have a glimpse of the confluence of the Yangtze River and Jialing River. During early summer or mid-autumn, the contrast between the muddy Yangtze and the clear waters of Jialing becomes clear. Close to the river, you will find the dock for the many tour boats that travel along the city landmarks.

The grand, fairy-tale castle-like main building in Timrå was built in 1883–1885 as a summer residence for the timber magnate Fredrik Bünsow, who was one of Sweden's most powerful timber barons at the time. The architects were Isak Gustaf Clason and Fritz Eckert. Clason is known for designing the Nordic Museum and Hallwyl Palace in Stockholm. The beautiful castle (or Villa Merlo, as it is actually called) is now a cultural heritage site and houses Svenska Cellulosa's central archive. In the summer, you can take a guided tour to see the many rooms and halls that still retain their former glory. Even the garden alone is well worth a visit.
