Hawaii's black sand beaches are a world-class attraction. Punaluu Black Sand Beach, located on the southeastern Kau coast, draws its striking color from volcanic activity. Hawaiian Green Sea turtles often bask on the shore here — be sure to observe from a distance, as they are an endangered species.

Aix-en-Provence, or simply Aix, is a beautiful university city located in the heart of Provence, known for its picturesque Old Town, stunning architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. Founded by the Romans in 123 BC, Aix is steeped in history and boasts an impressive array of architectural styles, from medieval to modern. It is often referred to as the "City of a Thousand Fountains" due to its numerous fountains, which are a popular attraction for visitors. Travellers can also explore the narrow streets of the Old Town, see the famous Cours Mirabeau boulevard, or take in the stunning views from the top of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, which overlooks the city. Aix-en-Provence is also known for its art and culture, with a number of museums, galleries, and festivals throughout the year, including the prestigious Festival d'Aix, which celebrates opera and classical music each summer. The city is also particularly famous for being the birthplace of the post-impressionist painter Paul Cézanne, and visitors can explore his former studio and the landscapes that inspired his work.

National Scenic Byway 143 is known as Utah's Patchwork Parkway because early pioneers used quilts to survive while crossing the plateau during the cold, snowy winters. It traverses from Parowan to Brian Head, and then northeast from Brian Head to Panguitch. Drive or even bike along stunning wildflowers and passing streams.

Himmelsberga is Öland's most authentic village, now preserved as an open air museum with enclosed farms built along both sides of the narrow village road. The heart of the museum consists of several large farms with buildings dating back the 18th and 19th century. The cottage is still has the original furniture, and the old stables are packed with all the tools and equipment that were used on the farms. The coffee shop sells freshly baked bread and hot pies, and you can buy genuine Öland handicrafts in the village shop. Himmelsberga holds exhibitions of arts and crafts in its two galleries. There's also an art museum with a collection of older and modern Öland paintings.
