Housed inside an old sugar factory, this small museum offers a glimpse of the island's history, and its sugar cultivation in particular. While learning more about how plantations shaped Mauritian industry and society in the colonial era, you will also discover how people lived and worked back in the day.

Only a few kilometres away from Grand Bay, Pereybère attracts with its manifold culture and its lively bar and restaurant scene, and it is also considered by many to have the island's best beach. The Simcoe WaveDeck is a public boardwalk inspired by the rolling waves of Lake Ontario. It’s one of several wave decks along the waterfront and a popular spot for photos and a quick break by the lake. You’ll find it along the Harbourfront, one of Toronto’s top attractions — a lively stretch featuring art galleries, outdoor performances, food stalls, boat tours, and plenty of spots to sit and take in the view.

Home to the most important treasures of the Nature Isle, Morne Trois Pitons covers an area of nearly 7000 hectares, and is only a 20-minute drive from Roseau. It is dotted by emblematic sights such as the Emerald Pool, the twin cascades of Trafalgar Falls, and the Titou Gorge, where scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. The park exemplifies the amazing natural diversity of Dominica and is a central area for the island's volcanic activities, the highlight of which is Boiling Lake — a fumarole that heats up to 90 °C.
