The Botanical Garden of the University of Zürich shows off its broad collection of flora, both local and imported, on the 5.6 hectares that were laid out in the 1970s. Even when it's raining or when it's cold, you can visit the tropical greenhouses. Each glass bubble represents a distinct climate: the sweltering humidity of the tropics, the dry heat of the Mediterranean, and the flowering alpine meadows.

Beginning at Baidi City, the Three Gorges – comprising the Qutang, Wu, and Xiling gorges – have been described by many poems since ancient times. You can contemplate its natural greatness from two of the most famous scenic spots, the Fengdu Ghost City and the Sibaozhai Pagoda.

Leicester Square is a pedestrianised square surrounded by a number of nationally significant cinemas with some of the city’s biggest screens, as well as a variety of restaurants. The Odeon Leicester Square, Empire, Leicester Square is often used for film premieres, so why not do a bit of Hollywood star-spotting while you're in London. The lush garden in the middle of the square is the perfect spot for cooling off in summer or resting your feet. Cinephiles should definitely check out the programme of the Prince Charles Cinema. This independent cinema does screenings of cult films and marathon film runs.
