In Skäftekärr, close to Böda in northern Öland, lies an Iron Age village with around 20 well-preserved stone house foundations spread across 10 farms dating from 300–700 AD. At the heart of the Iron Age village are the remains of a chieftain's estate, comprising four house foundations. Adjacent to this historic site, the "new Iron Age landscape" includes a reconstructed version of one of these typical houses and the charred remains of an earlier reconstruction. The park is also home to an impressive collection of approximately 140 different species of trees and shrubs, forming an arboretum. An eco-park center with information about the Böda Eco-park is available on-site, along with Skäftekärr café, hotel, and conference, housed in the majestic main building. For the little ones, a popular obstacle course adds to the day's adventure.

Fig Tree Bay is the most precious gem in this coastal tiara and is named after the solitary fig tree that was planted here by eastern invaders in the 17th century. On the headland of the bay one can see the recently revealed, glass-covered Hellenistic tombs. A selection of watersports abound at these beaches, ranging from skiing and paragliding to snorkelling and scuba diving, and boats wait on the piers to take you on unforgettable trips. The bay also has excellent facilities, with sunbeds and parasols available for hire. It provides disabled access and is serviced by a lifeguard.

Fjätervålen mountain is where both beginners and advanced skiers find their delight. The vastness of the skiing area relative to the number of guests means it never feels crowded, and the slopes don't get overused. Perfect for smooth carving, but also a favourite spot for many alpine clubs for training and competitions. The slopes meet international FIS norms for slalom, giant slalom, and women's super-G. The fact that all slopes converge in one place is a definite advantage. Everyone can ski their favourite slope, but it's always easy to find each other again at the foot of the mountain.
