Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is a reconstruction of the original open-air theatre where playwright William Shakespeare first staged many of his famous plays such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Midsummer Night’s Dream. On the banks of the Thames, just a few hundred yards away from its original location, the Globe stages classic and modern interpretations of Shakespeare's works as well as of brand new plays. There is also an exhibition with audio guides available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese as well as expert guided tours.

A walk in Trapani’s old city cannot be missed. The legacy left by the numerous dominations suffered by the region can be easily recognised in each building. Across the various districts, you can admire different architectural styles, from the Arabian to the medieval, and Baroque. This small and elegant mosque is one of Tirana's oldest surviving structures. Closed during communist rule, it reopened for worship in 1991 after being shuttered for decades. Many religious sites were destroyed during the atheism campaigns of the 1960s, but this mosque was spared. Its distinctive frescoes, found both inside and outside the portico, depict nature scenes like trees, waterfalls and bridges, which are unusual motifs in Islamic art.
