Stop at Miradouro das Flores and take in how much of Porto Santo fits into a single view. On one side, Ilhéu da Cal sits offshore, its pale cliffs rising around 150 metres straight out of the sea, a reminder of the island’s mining past and now protected and off-limits to visitors. Turn the other way and the view opens right up, with Porto Santo’s peaks, the northeast coast, and the full sweep of the 9 km beach laid out in front of you — an easy stop that delivers more than you expect.

At Desert Memorial Park Cemetery, you can visit the gravesites of famous Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra and 70s singer Sonny Bono, of the duo Sonny and Cher. As this is a cemetery, please be respectful of the dead and behave accordingly.

Bikes are an important part of the transportation system in Vancouver. Navigate the numerous cycle paths and bike routes, ranging from easy, flat terrain around Stanley Park to mountain biking on the famous North Shore. You can safely move through the city at your pace and see more than you would on foot or by bus. Vancouver's moderate climate makes it possible to cycle almost year-round. Mesaieed is another oiland gas hub in Qatar that was recognized as an area of prime importance in the 20th century. In 1949, it became QatarPetroleum’s tanker terminal, growing Qatar’s oil industry. Other reasons included the deep waters that surrounded the area and its proximity to Doha.Located in the southeast of Qatar, it houses employees of Qatar Petroleum, but that isn’t its only claim to fame. Mesaieed is surrounded by golden dunes and beautiful beaches.
