At night, the Parque de la Reserva comes alive with a magical show of water, music and light put on by thirteen cybernetic fountains. The shows take place from Tuesday to Sunday at 7:15pm, 8:15pm, and 9:30pm. There is a small entry fee and it is advised to bring a plastic bag along so you can keep your belongings dry. A must-see attraction especially if you are traveling with kids.

To see some of the island's most striking natural landscapes, follow the Col de Bavella, a mountain pass that boasts spectacular views of the Aiguilles de Bavella (the Bavella "needles", called that for its spiry peaks). A part of the G20 trail runs from the Notre Dame des Neiges statue all the way up to the massif.

Located just outside Kuala Lumpur's city centre, this six-tiered Chinese temple honours Mazu, the revered sea goddess. Since its opening in 1989, the active worship site has drawn visitors with its striking architectural features, from the grand prayer hall altars to the tiered roofs adorned with intricate carvings. The temple is open to tourists, but expect devotees filling the temple, burning incense offerings and praying. You can explore independently or join organised tours to appreciate this lesser-known gem's cultural and artistic significance.

Escape from the bustling city and take a boat cruise or visit the Bird Park, Butterfly Farm, Deer Park, Orchid Park and Hibiscus Park. Here you can find a playground for children, running tracks and exercise stations.
