The Town Musicians Express is a great way to get to know Bremen, especially on days when the weather is not so favourable. The Bremen Town Musicians is a fairy tale by the Grimm brothers that has brought fame to the city of Bremen. The story is about a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster in search of a better life in the city of Bremen, where they plan to become musicians. Today, a two-metre tall bronze statue stands on the left, western side of the town hall to pay homage to this popular German tale. It depicts all of the characters on top of one another, with the donkey as the base. If you decide to visit it, make sure if you grab both of the donkey's front legs for good luck.

Every weekend, the sweet little village of Usaquén on the city's edge hosts a flea market. So many beautiful things to decorate your house or to gift to friends back home: blankets, ponchos, pictures, jewellery, antique kitchen stuff, purses, personalised leather bags and famous Colombian mochilas — the list goes on and on. Cash is king. The flea market is a major attraction for tourists and locals. Numerous cafes and restaurants have sprung up in the area, serving traditional Colombian dishes as well as international cuisine.

You can experience a vibrant splash of colour in the heart of Bremen in May, when Bremen's Rhododendron Park is in bloom. The magnificent colours of more than 10,000 rhododendron and azalea bushes are a delight for the eyes. Plant lovers will be delighted by the park's botanic garden, with its collection of more than 6,500 plants from all over the world.
