Salar Jung Museum is one of the most significant museums of national importance. It houses an extensive collection of Indian and international artefacts, paintings, books, sculptures, textiles, ceramics, and more. The museum's collection was primarily sourced from the private collection of the Salar Jung family, particularly Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, also known as Salar Jung III. One of the museum's most famous attractions is the musical clock, known for its hourly performance, during which a bearded figure comes out and strikes the gong. This mechanical spectacle draws a crowd, especially around the time it is set to go off.

Over 2,400 km of prepared snowmobile trails await you around Idre, providing a fun way to explore the area's stunning natural surroundings. In particular, the Älvdalen's area offers two great areas for snowmobiling: the Nordic Area (www.nordicarea.se) in the south and the Snöskoter Område Norra Dalarna (www.sond.se) in the north. To drive a snowmobile here, you'll need a license that can be obtained at the tourist office, at gas stations and at some other local businesses. You'll also need to ask for map and information about the rules and regulations you need to respect. The Sabarmati Ashram, also known as Mahatma Gandhi's home, is where the Father of the Nation lived from 1917 to 1930. It was from this location that Gandhi, accompanied by 78 followers, embarked on the historic Salt March to the coast of Gujarat in 1930, in a symbolic act of defiance against British salt taxes. Today, the Ashram is a serene place housing a museum dedicated to Gandhi, with adjacent gardens offering a peaceful oasis by the Sabarmati River.
