Lees-McRae College is a multifaceted association which also provides summer entertainment activities. Enjoy eight programs spanning symphony, vocalists, big band groups, pianists and dancers from June through August.

Seven generations saw the Tan Ky house remaining in the excellent condition it welcomes visitors in today, as it continues to stand as an excellent example of the confluence of cultural influences that define Hoi An. This 18th-century merchant home combines elements of Chinese and Japanese design and even features elements of European influence (such as the grape leaves carved into the courtyard balcony). The house comes furnished with original period pieces and contains a small gift shop; an open courtyard at its centre brings in light and air, creating an organic link to nature and preventing the structure from flooding (although this isn't a remedy in extremely high water).

The national museum of New Zealand features five floors of interactive exhibits and offers an insight into everything from natural history to Maori culture and European immigration. Don’t miss ‘bush city’, the museum’s urban rain forest full of native plants and wildlife. The museum is recognized as a world leader of interactive and innovative museum experiences.

Mount Victoria is a beautiful place for a nature hike; so beautiful, in fact, that it has been used as filming ground for some scenes of the Lord if the Rings movie. Expect stunning, birds-eye views over the city and bay. Come at night when the city lights glimmer in the distance and savour the moment.
