French fashion was born and flourished from Lyon’s textile industry. The Musée des Tissus provides a unique collection presenting more than 2,000 years of the history of textile around the world, and more specifically, in the Lyon area, highlighting the influence it had on French fashion.

Bocas is one of the very few Caribbean surf spots with good sized waves. There may be better and bigger waves in the Pacific, but here, when you surf, you do it in turquoise waters, while you ride above colorful coral reefs or white sand. There are beach breaks, point breaks and reef breaks, lefts, and rights for all tastes and preferences. You can find breaks three minutes away from Isla Colon. The preferred surf spots are Wizard, Bluff, Punch, The Point at Carenero and Tiger Tail. It is important to visit these spots with somebody who knows the area, especially if you will be surfing over a reef break.

Perched on a hill overlooking the River Lee, in the heart of Shandon's Old Town, the 18th century St Anne's Church and Shandon Bells offer wonderful views of the city, as well as a chance to ring the bells for yourself.

At the gates of the Gdansk shipyard, this 42 metre tall steel monument commemorates the shooting of dock workers during a strike in December 1970. More than 1,000 workers were injured and 42 killed when the communist government authorized the army to fire at striking workers.
