Mineral deposits found in the Nha Trang area are believed to have natural curative properties, which can be experienced first-hand at the city's several reputable 'mud spa' centres. Services range from the possibility of, quite literally, bathing in mud, to experiencing a full-on treatment in combination with a massage or other beauty procedures. Spa packages are offered at most centres and are incredibly great value. Some of the best-known spa centres include Thap Ba Hot Springs (with private baths available, as well as waterfalls and thermal pools with both warm and cold water); iResort (another large complex, plus water slides), 100 Egg Mud Bath, and – if you're too short on time to make the trip outside of town to one of the larger complexes – Galina Mud Bath right downtown.

Toronto Zoo is the largest zoological garden in Canada. It's divided into seven zoogeographic regions: Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Tundra Trek, Australasia, Eurasia and the Canadian Domain. The displays include animals inside tropical pavilions, as well as naturalistic ones, where animals live in an imitation of their natural environment. Toronto Zoo's idea is to be Canada’s national leader in saving wildlife to guarantee the rich variety of nature for upcoming generations.

Nearly an hour from Grand Mound, in the heart of Mount St. Helens’ blast zone, lies the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Erected with the purpose of hosting displays that explore the biological and geological implications of the 1980 eruption, JRO features award-winning films, ranger talks, landscape observations, and lunch for guests. You are even allowed to hike the surrounding areas. During the summer, JRO holds the annual Music on the Mountain series in its outdoor amphitheater. Keep in mind JRO closes for the winter season, but it reopens its doors in May.
