Casablanca's Old Medina, also known as Old Town or Ancienne Medina, is a maze-like quarter teeming with life and marked by buildings that harken back to the period before French rule. Vendors with carts offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, and spices, while quaint antique shops and artisanal leather workshops line the constricted passageways. Amid the lively bargaining, outdoor cafés offer spaces for respite, serving both coffee and refreshing mint tea. Here, locals go about their daily routines while visitors can shop for an array of traditional goods.

As a botanical artwork and internationally renowned centre of scientific studies, Lalbagh Park contains a diverse variety of flora, a deer park and one of the largest collections of rare tropical plants within India. Conceived by Sultan Hyder Ali in 1760, it was further expanded by his son, who planted exotic trees from Persia, Turkey, and Mauritius. An annual flower show is also held here, in the British-built Glass House.

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) stands as one of Canada's largest cultural institutions, housing a collection of millions of artifacts.
