Housed in a former stateroom, within the Palace of St Michael and St George, the Museum of Asian Art — the only one of its kind in Greece — showcases remarkable collections of Chinese, Japanese, and Indian art, along with various other exquisite artistic treasures from that continent. Visitors are invited to embark on a fascinating journey through the diverse and enchanting cultures of Asia, all under one roof.

Psyrri is a gentrified neighbourhood known for its bohemian cafe-bars, live music taverns, artisanal boutiques, exotic spice bazaars and small number of hotels. It's one of the oldest quarters of Athens and used to be regarded as a dodgy place until the early 90s. In the late 19th century, Psyrri used to be the ‘Bronx’ of Athens. ‘Koutsavakides’, ‘hobbler dudes’ in Greek, would walk the streets in their jackets worn on one sleeve and bully locals. You'll see this archetypical character show up in street art all over the neighbourhood.

Coral Beach is a spectacular offshore ‘park’ with the world’s most northerly coral reef. This is the main attraction on this enjoyable pay-to-enter beach. You will find anything from cafés to snorkelling equipment for hire here.

This open-air festival in the heart of the city boasts all genres that you can think of, and many activities and events for people of all ages. With theatre performances in July, and street concerts in August, this feast will take to you wild experiences and days (and tons) of fun, that get closed by the Soup Festival on the first Sunday in September before starting again next year.
