Nestled beside the Penampang River, the Monsopiad Cultural Village is a living museum located 16 kilometres from the KK City Centre. The village features traditional buildings and displays a variety of artefacts, including ceramic jars, padi grinders, bamboo items, and the costume of Bobohizan Inai Bianti, a senior high priestess. Other notable exhibits include a massive monolith surrounded by legends, a traditional restaurant, and Siou Do Mohoing, the House of Skulls, where all 42 "trophies" of the warrior Monsopiad hang from the rafters.

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum offers a powerful look into the history of Black baseball and the pioneering Negro Leagues, spanning from their formation in the 1920s to their integration into Major League Baseball. Visitors can explore rare memorabilia, historic photographs, interactive exhibits, and the renowned "Field of Legends," a life-size diorama featuring statues of legendary players.

Arco De Las Pesas (literally Gate of the Weights) is located just off Plaza Larga, a striking Islamic gateway defensive wall. The archway is built with stone from the city of Malahá and was built in the eleventh century.

Travellers who enjoy going slightly off the beaten track should not miss the Museum of Human Anatomy in Pisa. First opened in 1832, the museum collected thousands of pieces of highly accurate anatomical models made for educational-scientific purposes. Certainly an unusual and macabre attraction. A section of the museum is dedicated to anatomical paintings by Giovanni Paolo Mascagni, who was famed for his mind-blowingly intricate and accurate colour illustrations. Another section contains archaeological finds, such as funerary objects from pre-Columbian civilisations, with fabrics, vases and various utensils, mummies and sarcophagi.
