Once a federal prison housing dangerous and notorious criminals, Alcatraz (The Rock) now welcomes tourists into the cell blocks once occupied by the likes of Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelley, and the Birdman of Alcatraz. Self-guided audio tours have dramatic narratives of Alcatraz’s grim history, including realistic sound effects one would hear in prison. Apart from the prison complex itself, Alcatraz Island essentially operates as a national park. You can spend a full day hiking, taking in the view from multiple observation points and appreciating the natural beauty.

Also known as, Stadio Littorialeis, Stadio Renato Dall'Ara is a multi-purpose stadium, currently used mostly for football matches and the home of Bologna F.C. It was established in 1927 and has a capacity of over 38,000 people and even though the stadium is old, the condition and facilities are good. Concerts are also held at this stadium.

Known as the oldest Lutheran Church in the Americas, the Fredrick Lutheran Church was established in 1666 by Danish minister and coloniser, Kjeld Jensen. The yellow Georgian style building with its large staircase that you can visit today was opened in 1793. The earlier two buildings that were, unfortunately, destroyed by fire.

The Anatomy Museum, Collezione delle Cere Anatomiche, offers a unique and spine-chilling experience. Visitors will encounter displays featuring wax models depicting body parts, diseases, and malformations, alongside a vast collection of real skulls. Recommended for those with interests in medical history, anatomy, or general health. Be aware that the museum may not be suitable for the overly squeamish.
