A relaxed park just outside the centre, known more as a local hangout than a tourist spot. There’s a lake with pedal boats in summer, a playground for kids, and a beer garden that’s busy on warm afternoons. Good place for a slow walk, a picnic, or just to take a break from the city streets.

Across the famed Mile High Swinging Bridge lies the wondrous Grandfather Mountain State Park, home to wildlife in its natural habitats and grand alpine trails. Enjoy walking and hiking the mountain while encountering a wealth of photograph opportunities. After exploring the natural splendor, head to The Nature Museum and learn about the region’s history. Mojácar is home to two statues in honour ir “mojaqueras”. The statue of “La Mojaquera” (Mojácar woman) has stood in front of the Church since 1989. Sculpted in marble and dressed in the typical attire, she holds the Arab scarf with her teeth and carries the water vessel that was used to carry the precious liquid from the fountain. Located in the Plaza Rey Alabez, next to the parking area, it is a bronze sculpture, symbolizing the woman changing their shoes when entering and leaving the village. You can read a “güajira mojaquera” (a popular folk song).

Military Museum of Colombia is run by the armed forces and aims to show you more than 200 years of the country's military history. You'll see uniforms, flags, weaponry, medals, aircraft, scaled-models of ships and some full-size vehicles. In the two courtyards you can see actual tanks, cannons and airplanes.
