The Museum of Modern Art showcases a permanent collection of 20th-century Slovene artists, alongside temporary exhibitions. Since 2010, a selection of its avant-garde art collection has been on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSUM) at Metelkova.

With its extensive selection and its manifold exhibition programme, the Sprengel Museum ranks among the most important museums for contemporary art of the 20th and 21th century. While featuring both temporary and permanent exhibition, this venue also organises events and activities for visitors of all age that allow you to deeply dunk into the world of art craft.

The oldest surviving building of the Namibian capital was originally built to house the German colonial troops in the late 19th century, later going on to become a museum for Namibia's struggle for independence, as well as a historic landmark in itself. The controversial Reiterdenkmal, an alleged symbol of German dominance in the region, has been relocated from its original place opposite the Christuskirche into the yard of Alte Feste for storage. The interior space is closed for public visits as of mid-2019; a few wartime exhibits are showcased out front.
