Guangzhou - Bars & Nightlife

Guangzhou has a well-developed bar and club scene with a number of hotspots for drinking and dancing. Bai-e-Tan bar Street (Metro 1 Fang Cun) is perhaps the most popular where a mix of foreigners and Chinese alike gather to party the night away from about 11pm onwards. Other bar clusters include those around Binjiang Lu and Huanshi Lu.

This is a party club scene Chinese style that pulls in the western punters from about midnight onwards as revellers take advantage of the owner’s tendency to give out free shots when the mood takes him. Seems to work though. Packed to the rafters well into the early hours.
