火焰谷国家公园是内华达州最古老也最大的国家公园，1935 年建成。这个谷是用恐龙时代由巨大的流砂沙丘形成的红砂岩来命名的。 这一景区的特色在于它的硅化木、有 3000 年历史的印第安人的岩石雕刻，以及可追溯到 1.5 亿年前的侵蚀砂岩及沙丘的完美融合。
