The buzzing Bairro Getsemani is, perhaps, Cartagena's most attractive neighbourhood, for both its well-preserved colonial architecture and vivid street life. Known as the nightlife hot spot of Cartagena, Getsemani stays up until late at night, with locals and visitors mingling in and around Plaza de la Trinidad over drinks and street food.

Lining up the eastern side of the Vågen harbour is Bergen's most famous postcard, Bryggen. A series of colourful wooden buildings, which once housed the trading offices of the Hanseatic League. Over the years, Bryggen has been ravaged by many fires, and in 1702 the entire city was reduced to ashes. Its rebuilding followed the foundations that had been there since the 12th century, which means that Bryggen was able to retain its medieval architecture. In 1979, the area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. And today, Bryggen is home to museums, shops, restaurants, and pubs.

The Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos illustrates General Augusto Pinochet's 17-year dictatorship over Chile that resulted in the murder of thousands of Chileans. The museum contributes to the reworking of the period between 1973 and 1990 and at the same time, honours the many victims of the Pinochet rule. It stands as a landmark for the creation of cultural awareness and educates about the terrors of dictatorship.
