The Gothenburg Cathedral, also known as the Gustavi Domkyrka, is a significant religious landmark in the heart of Gothenburg, with its origins tracing back to the 19th century. The cathedral's striking architecture, featuring a combination of Gothic and neoclassical elements, captivates visitors. However, the current church is actually the third iteration, as both previous cathedrals were destroyed by fires in 1721 and 1802. The third and current cathedral was completed in 1815, with the tower added in 1825. The Film Museum in the Albertina is a must in Vienna for every film enthusiast, serving as a cinematheque and an archive for a collection ranging from the origins of film history to the present days; make sure to check the schedule on their website to see what is currently being screened, as this isn't a "museum" in the traditional sense of the word, but more of a historic cinema. National and international films are screened all year round, with changing retrospectives and individual presentations offered to the public. The Film Museum also boasts the widest collection of film literature in the country, as well as a selection of cinema-related photos, posters and periodicals.

In the Old town, the statue of men playing cards – le Partie des Cardes de Raimu – reminds of Provence's folklore and of Marcel Pagnol's picturesque novels. As this is a nice place for taking original pictures, sit down here and have a (funny) break.

Better known as the “Red Church”, the Church of St. Simon and Helena was built in 1910 by a Polish noble to commemorate the death of his two children – the tower’s three bells are named after him and the dead children.
