There are two waterfalls in the vicinity of Nha Trang, both of which make for excellent excursions into nature. Ba Ho Falls, at a distance of roughly 30km north from central Nha Trang, are the falls that attract most visitors. You will need a ride to reach the entrance to the natural area (get a taxi or Grab). Bring swimwear, sturdy shoes (not flip flops), and your own water. Note that water volumes may vary dramatically depending on whether you visit during or outside dry season (January through August). Another option are Fairy Spring Waterfalls (Suối Tiên), mostly favoured by local youth. These are much smaller compared to Ba Ho, but there is still an opening fit for swimming. There is a small admission fee to visit both falls.

This historic district made up of traditional wooden Malay houses on stilts will not be around for much longer, as pressure mounts on landowners to sell their properties to make way for new urban development. For now, however, you can still wander through and catch a glimpse of what KL's outskirts of the early 1900 looked like, complete with chickens and livestock roaming around, and all manner of street food cooked up along alleyways. Kamoung Baru hosts a weekly night market that sells clothing and handicrafts.

Dating back to 1390-1440, the Pandhof Domkerk is nestled between the Dom Church and the Academy Building. This idyllic spot serves as the cloister garden of the Dom Church, featuring a delightful array of flowers and herbs, as well as a captivating view of the Dom Tower. Labelled as one of the most beautiful courtyards in the Netherlands, Pandhof Domkerk is a serene space that offers visitors tranquillity and fresh air at no cost.

Mayor Edi Rama, internationally renowned as an artist before he took over the post of Tirana's mayor in 2000, decided to give the city a more welcoming look by painting old and Soviet block-style building facades in bright colours. The initiative certainly accomplished its goal of helping the city appear more attractive.
