The unique business concept was started in 2005 with a mission to provide consumers and travel suppliers around the world with free, regularly updated travel guides, with revenues from print advertising in the guides. The business concept proved successful and enabled the company to expand globally within the first year.
Today, ArrivalGuides is located in Gothenburg and Stockholm, Sweden, and covers over 400 destinations in 77 countries.
Most downloads are currently generated from partnership websites that include over 140 leading travel brands such as Continental Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Ryanair, Air Berlin, etc.
In the end of 2009 ArrivalGuides launched a new model that focuses on partnerships with the local official tourist organizations. The local partner secures the quality of the content for their local destination and in return ArrivalGuides offer them a unique potential to communicate with the vast population of travellers in the ArrivalGuides network.
