Being the largest tropical city in Australia, Townsville tends to be very laid back, but don’t let that fool you as there is a hot music scene. There are plenty of clubs and places where you can dance till dawn. Home to a large student and army population, Townsville’s largest contingent of night spots are found on Flinders Street East.
