Saint-André is Bordeaux’s main cathedral — parts of it date back to the 11th century, though most of what you see now is from the 13th to 15th centuries. About 35 km from Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion is a medieval town set in the heart of one of the world’s oldest wine regions — and the first to be listed as a living UNESCO World Heritage Site.
