Located in an old silo at Table Bay, the Zeitz MOCAA is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world. The unique design of the building is enough to pay for your visit here, but exploring its interior is also highly recommended. More than 100 galleries spread over nine floors showcase well-curated contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. When you feel like taking a break, check out the rooftop, where they have a sculpture garden and a restaurant with stunning views of the harbour.

The beaches around the Bodrum peninsula provide excellent opportunities for diving and snorkelling. With bathing boats or dolmuş, reaching them is a breeze. Bagla, located 14 km from Bodrum on the south coast, boasts fine sandy beaches, while Gümbet — just about 3 km west of Bodrum — is often the go-to for windsurfers. On the west coast, you'll discover inviting beaches at Akyar, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük and Yalıkavak. Each of these are quaint villages brimming with charming fish restaurants and popular anchorages for sailors. Don't miss Kara Ada, Black Island, where you'll find caves hiding hot water springs.

Also known as Holy See, Cao Dai Temple is the center of Cao Dai faith, an indigenous Vietnamese religion that incorporates the teachings of Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism as well as part of Islam and Christianity. The balcony on the 2nd floor is the best vantage point from which the religious ceremony can be viewed.

In times of conflict between the Vietnamese government and the country's Buddhist population, Thich Quang Duc calmly sat down in lotus position in the midst of Buddhist protesters and lit himself on fire as a sing of protest. In memory of his sacrifice, a monument was inaugurated in 2010, showing him surrounded by flames.
