There are eight public parks in Cathedral City featuring such varying elements as soccer fields, walking paths, covered seating areas, public art, tennis courts, volleyball courts and monuments. If you like spending your time outdoors, this is the place for you.

XVIII century construction from the Baroque period, ascribed to José Sierra The church is situated in the old part of the town, just beside the Nobel house of the Orduña’s. This construction was built between 1740 and 1753 over the plot of land where the primitive temple used to be and dates from the Christian Conquest (XIII century). The church was burnt and plundered during the Civil War and was again changed in 1962, shortening its length and changing the ground floor, this led to the loss of the cupola and the transept. Between 1995 and 1996 we undertook the task of renovation and interior decoration in order to save the present day building.

At Desert Memorial Park Cemetery, you can visit the gravesites of famous Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra and 70s singer Sonny Bono, of the duo Sonny and Cher. As this is a cemetery, please be respectful of the dead and behave accordingly.

Begin your Wild Atlantic Way journey in Cork and head west to the awe-inspiring beauty of Bantry Bay. This 35km bay is studded with several picturesque villages, including Castletownbere and Glengarriff. The Bay is associated with the Rebellion of 1798 and is rich with local history.
