Chinatown is colourful, crowded and filled with typical aromas of the Chinese district: spices, herbs, medicines and fruit. The People's Park Complex shopping centre is a must, especially for the crowd and all the interesting trinkets to be found. Do not miss OG People's Park, which has become popular for its fashion boutiques, jewellery and cosmetics.

The Centrepoint is the largest and most popular shopping centre in Singapore. It houses boutiques specialising in music, clothing, electronics, furniture, and books amongst other things. It takes more than one day to properly get around the massive Ngee Ann City shopping complex. The main attraction is Takashimaya, a large Japanese store that holds regular bazaars and fairs. Apart from that, you'll find more than 100 shops specialising in sports, stationery, electronics, jewels and designer clothes. Brands like Boss, Zara and Mango can be found here, alongside South East Asia’s largest bookstore, Konokuniya.
