Las dos Lunas

Las dos Lunas

Las dos Lunas has been around since the early '80s and still feels like one of those places that knows exactly what it’s doing. The menu leans Italian with Mediterranean touches and most of it’s made from scratch, including the bread they bake in a wood-fired oven. The outdoor dining area feels more like a private courtyard than a restaurant—colourful tiles, vines spilling over stone walls, bougainvillea everywhere, and warm lighting that somehow makes even a Tuesday night feel like an event. It’s close to San Rafael, just off the road, but once you're inside, it’s like someone flipped the switch on the outside world. Book ahead if you want a table during the season—it fills up fast.

La Paloma

La Paloma

La Paloma is one of those places that feels like a little escape, set in a quiet inland village, with a big garden full of olive trees and mismatched tables tucked under the shade. During the day, the food is Mediterranean with Middle Eastern touches—grilled fish, colorful salads, lots of veggies. At night, it shifts to Italian with handmade pasta and proper risotto. The atmosphere’s relaxed, a little hippie, and the kind of place you end up staying longer than planned.
