Federico Fellini International Airport (RMI) is located around 7 kilometres from the city centre. The airport is one of the busiest in Italy as the area is popular with holidaying families. Buses to the train station in the centre of Rimini run from outside the terminal. Bus number 9 runs every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 15 minutes. Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Rimini is during the summertime, as the city is famous throughout Italy for its beach resorts and vibrant nightlife. The climate is warm in spring and early autumn, and very hot during the summer months (June-August), which makes it perfect for a beach vacation. Also, the major events and festivals are held during the summer, like the famous Pink Night, which usually takes place during the first week of July. Rimini, however, has more to offer, and if you just want to visit the city and enjoy its museums and historical places, summer probably isn't a good idea, as the city gets very crowded and the prices rise considerably during the high season. In September-October the weather is still warm, but the city is quieter, and much more enjoyable.
