You can pre-book in advance on the Sun Palm Transport website or by phone on +61 7 4099 1191. Tickets can also be bought on arrival at the Sun Palm Transport counter in both terminals. Either way, you should head over to their counter where the staff will direct you to the bus. Sunbus is the public transport that operates throughout the city, running from northern beaches to the southern suburbs via the CBD. Daily, weekly and monthly passes are available as a series of zonal tickets, allowing unlimited travel in defined areas. There are also private bus lines that operates in the areas like Port Douglas, Mossman, Kuranda, the Atherton Tablelands and Mission Beach. You can either buy a go Card or just paper tickets. Go card can be bought online, 7-Eleven store and selected retailers including busway stations. The paper tickets can be purchased on-board on the bus, from a ticket office at train stations and from fare machines.
