A visit to Baghdad often includes the Imam al-Kazim & Imam al-Jawad Shrine, and its surrounding area offers its own shopping experience. Once you go past the initial checkpoint, the area comes alive with shops, food stalls selling baklava and other Arab pastries, and even local telecom offices where you can purchase SIM cards.
